  Amlodipine tablet is used to treat coronary artery disease-related conditions like hypertension, some forms of chest pain, and other conditions. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by altering calcium movement in heart and blood vessel cells. This dilates the blood vessels, increasing blood and oxygen supply to the heart while also lowering blood pressure. The frequency of angina attacks may be reduced, and your capacity for exercise may be improved. When attacks of chest pain do occur, it shouldn't be used to treat them.
