Kawasaki Disease is one of the leading cause of acquired heart disease in newborns and young children. ●     Very red, swollen, and cracked lips with strawberry-like tongue. The tongue has          rough and red spots.
●     Significant irritation and fussiness.
●     Peeling fingers and toes

If your child has a fever for 4-5 days with some of the key symptoms above, ask your physician whether your child could have Kawasaki Disease. It can be very tough to diagnose, so your child may have to be examined multiple times.

Diagnosis: 
There is no particular, single test to diagnose Kawasaki Disease. If Kawasaki Disease is suspected, however, your physician may order some tests to monitor the heart function (an echocardiogram).
