Kawasaki Disease is one of the leading cause of acquired heart disease in newborns and young children. Diagnosis: 
There is no particular, single test to diagnose Kawasaki Disease. If Kawasaki Disease is suspected, however, your physician may order some tests to monitor the heart function (an echocardiogram).
